EMS has four press brakes and publishes folding capability up to 4 metres in length and 230 tonnes, subject to material, thickness and component geometry.
For sheet-metal components, folding can follow directly after fibre laser cutting. This makes it practical to quote a complete cut-and-form package rather than treating the operations as separate jobs.
Critical bend dimensions, radii, material grades and finished geometry should be shown on the production drawing so feasibility can be reviewed before manufacture.
